Difference Between Zen and Meditation,Their Applications

There is a close relationship between Zen and meditation.

I think there are various opinions, but I will tell you this time from the viewpoint of utilizing it in daily life.

Zen means the way of thinking and thinking.

Meditation is the objective perception of feelings such as sadness and irritation.

By using these two methods, you can objectively grasp your feelings and organize your thoughts based on the idea of Zen.

Emotion and thought organization help people get out of their narrow view and free their minds.

When your mind is free, you can relax without feeling stress.

Zen is an idea that makes your mind comfortable

Zen is basically mental independence.

In Zen, “protagonist” there is a word (Shujinkou) which means “one’s original self”.

Don’t compare yourself to anyone, don’t get caught up in other people’s common sense or common sense, and be yourself.

It doesn’t matter what you like or dislike.

It doesn’t matter who you like or dislike.

You don’t have to be, you can be if you want to be.

Whatever the situation, it’s important not to lie to your true feelings.

The key to meditation is to empty your mind

Speaking of meditation, many people think of zazen and mindfulness.

But if you do it the way you’re told, it’s surprisingly difficult.

When you think, “Don’t think about it!” your brain somehow says, “think about”.

In that case, you don’t have to try hard. The main purpose of meditation is to be absent-minded.

The human brain thinks more than 60,000 words a day, so it stops its power a little.

In particular, as the emotions get stronger, their power consumption increases. It makes your brain tired and your body tired.

So the best recommendation is not to meditate perfectly right away.

It’s a good idea to take time to relax, like “relief” yourself, or go somewhere you can relax.

For example, time to drink a cup of your favorite tea, time to just gaze at nature, or time to lie in bed.

You can expect a relaxing effect by just waiting for even one minute like this.

The most important thing in Zen and meditation is 「now」

There is a teaching in Zen that means “Every day is a good day” and (We can appreciate every moment of our life).

The central tenet of Zen is that “I’m here.”.

Meditation is also about “at this moment” and not about the past or the future.

The two have in common the concept of “now.”.

By focusing on the “now” and cherishing the “now”, you don’t think and feel unnecessary things.

This way of thinking and feeling changes how you see and think about your world.

Mind reflects the world

If you feel that your situation or the world is “painful” and think that’s the way it is, your behavior will be affected.

If you’re in a “painful” world, it makes no sense in your head if you’re not being treated “painful”.

As a result, you become a person who acts and looks like you are being treated “painful”.

Of course, it will change like that unconsciously.

But if you think of it as a “pleasant and comfortable” world, that’s the way it goes.

That’s why you should be aware of the way you think and act to get the feeling you want.

For example, to increase the time for fun hobbies and to prepare comfortable bedding.

Even small things close to you are fine. The world will change by increasing it little by little.

In addition, here are three of the benefits of using the good parts of Zen and meditation.

Free from guilt and receiving love and affluence

“Although I was praised, I feel sorry.”
“Somehow I don’t know if I should be in this place.”
“I always blame myself for being wrong.”

Have you ever felt like this? This is especially true when there are rules and assumptions.

The Zen word has the meaning of “flexible mind” (Nyunaruga), a mind that is free from common sense and assumptions.

You feel “It has to be like this.” “This is normal.” “It should be like this.”.

Write them down one by one.Is that really true?

If that idea is holding you back, think about it or lose it.It will surely make your heart feel lighter.

Get rid of one’s inferiority complex and lose the ability to compare oneself with others

“Unlike him, I have no value, so I can’t do anything.”
“I can’t be happy because there are so many things I can’t do.”
“Everything has to be perfect to be worth oneself.”

Don’t you feel like you are always down there?

This is especially because they compare with people. Also, some people compare it to the ideal image that they made by themselves, not people.

The Zen word also has the meaning of “Knowing contentment” and (Chi soku) which means to know if there is enough.

People want to see things “No”. I have a constant desire for that and this.

I don’t mean to deny the desire.

But how you feel depends on whether you want it because it’s “No” or if you already have “Yes” but want more.

Look at what’s “Yes” in you rather than what’s “No” in you.

Then you “Yes” and you’re actually satisfied! You’ll notice that.

You can feel a sense of openness and challenge yourself

Feelings of guilt and inferiority are expressed by being tied down and worrying about others.

However, when these two things are gone, you can feel a sense of openness.

You don’t have to worry about anything and you can feel confident about yourself.

It’s easy to challenge things you’ve always wanted to or tried.

I’m sure your world will become richer and more enjoyable.
